Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (CALM)
AITC-SK Initiative
Province-wide
GRADES K TO 6 | MARCH 2026

Students have questions, and our agriculture volunteers are ready to answer them!
CALM is an opportunity for your students to meet someone working in agriculture and learn how food is grown sustainably in our province. We have 100s of volunteers excited to visit your classroom (in-person or virtually) to share their stories and inspire your students to get excited about agriculture and food!
Each year, a new resource is created to accompany your CALM classroom presentation. This year's resource is an interactive timeline activity exploring how agriculture in Saskatchewan has evolved!
How CALM works:
- Register for CALM before January 31st, 2026.
- In February, we will match you with a local agriculture volunteer!
- Connect with your volunteer to schedule a presentation date during March.
- Enjoy your classroom presentation and access to a NEW resource!
Join in the fun of learning about where food comes from with students from across Canada by sharing your experience on social media and tagging #CALM26.
Register by January 31st, 2026.

"Having a local producer present in our classroom was great! The students had many good questions..."
