Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (CALM)
AITC-SK Initiative
Province-wide
GRADES 1 TO 6 | MARCH

Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month (CALM) 2021 will explore Healthy Food from Healthy Farms through a hands-on resource that includes a book, engaging activity and a video tour. We will also be coordinating optional virtual classroom presentations this year for your students to connect with a local farmer and/or agriculture industry professional. Your students will get to ask their questions about farming like how do farmers decide which crop to grow, why are some eggs brown, where do cows sleep in winter, and more!
We have tailored resource packages for:
- Grades K to 2
- Grades 3 to 5
- Grades 6 to 8
Join in the fun of learning about where food comes from with students from across Canada by sharing your learnings on social media and tagging #CALM2021.
Deadline to register: February 22, 2021
