GRADES K-6 | SPRING 2026
Can’t get your class to one of our out-of-school programs or want to supplement a program or lesson plan with a fun, engaging activity? We will come to you to facilitate a fun, hands-on curriculum-aligned presentation right in your classroom!
One of our dynamic team members will guide your class through an age-appropriate presentation exploring a relevant aspect of food production. We'll bring all the supplies needed and take care of the mess afterward! Each presentation requires approximately 1 hour of class time. There is no cost to participate in this program.
GRADES K-3:
Soil Horizon Snack - Students will explore the layers of soil in a fun and interactive way by creating a soil horizon snack cup with tasty ingredients. Seed planting is also included, reinforcing their understanding of soil’s role in sustaining plant life. (45 MIN)
Soil Horizon Keychain - Students will explore the layers of soil in a hands-on, interactive way by creating a soil horizon keychain with colorful, textured components. This activity helps them understand how different soil layers form and their role in supporting life. (45 MIN)
GRADES 4-6:
From the Ground Up - This presentation invites students to consider the complexity and significance of farming in Saskatchewan through a highly engaging simulation game. Students learn about the importance of sustainability and gain insight about the many decisions farmers must make throughout the year. (60 - 90 MIN)
The Taco Takeover - Spice up your curriculum! This presentation offers a dynamic, hands-on experience where students will explore the fascinating world of food production. From farm to plate, they'll uncover the origins of their favorite taco ingredients while creating a delicious meal. (60 - 75 MIN)
Before You Register
This year, we are using a multiple-classroom presentation booking system, which allows teachers to register more than one class and helps us make the most of our travel. Please coordinate with other teachers at your school before completing your registration.
