GRADES 7 TO 12 | FALL & SPRING

Can’t get your class to one of our out-of-school programs or want to supplement a program or lesson plan with a fun, engaging activity? We will come to you to facilitate a fun, hands-on curriculum-aligned presentation right in your classroom!

One of our dynamic team members will guide your class through an age-appropriate presentation exploring a relevant aspect of food production. We'll bring all the supplies needed and take care of the mess afterward! Each presentation requires approximately 1 hour of class time. There is no cost to participate in this program.

GRADES 7-9:

Career Case - Your students will be guided through a gamified learning experience, encouraging them to explore their interests and learn about exciting career opportunities. Through exploring real-world scenarios, students will begin to envision themselves and their diverse interests finding a future in agriculture.

Journey 2050 - Students explore world food sustainability. Agricultural experts and real farm families from Kenya, India, and Canada guide students through a virtual farm simulation, career avatar game, and geography scavenger hunt.

The Food Security Budget Presentation - AITC-SK facilitates an engaging budgeting activity that encourages students to explore many obstacles and challenges facing food security.

For the Love of Beef Presentation - This presentation follows a year in the life of a rancher. Guided through an interactive game, students assume the role of a rancher and make important decisions related to beef cattle production.

IMPORTANT: For rural schools, we prioritize visits with multiple registered classes, as travel constraints may prevent us from accommodating single-class requests. Please encourage other teachers at your school to register to help facilitate a visit.

We are proud to partner with Simplot in delivering presentations in the West-Central area of the province.

Thank you for your interest, registration opens in Fall 2025. Sign up for our monthly Educator E-Newsletter to be notified.

Journey 2050 is a great way to expose non farm students to the day to day decision making a farmer makes.  It shows them where the food comes from and how Canada compares to other countries.  The lessons that go with each module are also wonderful!
