A hands-on, interactive resource that connects kids to where their food comes from. Students learn what crops, animals and plant parts are needed in order to make the foods that they commonly eat which can lead to healthier eating choices and a better appreciation for agriculture and its role in feeding the world. Suggested for Grades 3 to 6 but could be adapted for younger grades.

ExploreSaskAg.ca is a new kid-friendly, engaging website that brings the story of agriculture to life through highly interactive information, colourful illustrations, real-life photos, informative text, quizzes, teacher lessons, and more! The website covers the Past, Present, Evolution, and Future of agriculture in Saskatchewan. Additional sections and teacher lessons will be launched with Phase 2 in October.

Feeding a Growing World: Exploring Saskatchewan's Role in Global Food Security
This interactive resource will provide the means for students to inquire, explore, and investigate “How might Saskatchewan agriculture contribute to global food security for 9 billion people?”. Multiple components enhance the learning experience for students, including a four-part video, an interactive SMART Board or MIMIO game, classroom activities, and an inquiry project on SK agriculture and the connection to food security.

Planet X: 'Out of this World' Opportunities in Agriculture and Food
Students are given the mission to assemble a team of food production professionals to send to Planet X to sustainably produce food for the growing world. Students will gain an appreciation and knowledge of the multitude of professions within the Agriculture and Food sectors, while also understanding the importance of everyday food production and sustainability to the global population.
