GRADES 4 TO 8  |  Spring 2024

Teachers will take their students to a local, family run dairy farm to see the day -to-day activities and operations on the farm. Once there, the students will get a chance to walk through the barns, see the cows, and learn about what dairy farmers are doing to ensure the milk in the grocery store is high quality and produced with the environment and future generation in mind. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about proAction, Dairy Farmers of Canada’s quality assurance system that regulates farmers in areas like animal care and food safety.

Available tour dates range through June on different farms.

Educational student materials, information booklet, and outline of curriculum connections will be provided for the students following the tour.

SaskMilk will cover the cost of busing!
