Teacher Agriculture Expedition
August 13-15, 2019
Are you curious about food and agriculture?
Do you want to learn new ways to bring agriculture education into the classroom?
The Agriculture Expedition will be an action-packed, hands-on agriculture tour for teachers that will motivate you, and provide you with the tools and knowledge, to incorporate agriculture education in to your classroom teachings. You will personally interact with farmers and agriculture personnel at their farms and agri-businesses to understand their role in producing safe, healthy and affordable food in our province. They will share with you how science, research and technology have helped improve the sustainability of their operation, and how they play an important role in keeping Saskatchewan agriculture competitive at a global market. You will be asked to share your experiences on social media, and actively support and engage with AITC-SK throughout the year.
This is a great opportunity for you to connect the food you eat to the farmers who grow it. Many food stories will be created as a result of this experience.
Upon registration, you will be invited to share your questions and concerns about agriculture and we will ensure that they are addressed during the tour by credible, knowledgeable people.

"I learned so much... the most impactful was meeting the different farmers and hearing about their passion and love for what they do and ensuring the health of their animals and the earth."
Stephanie House, 2017 Ag Expedition Participant
