Volunteers Needed! Inspire the Next Generation
Do you have a passion for agriculture and want to inspire the next generation? CALM (Classroom Agriculture Literacy Month) gives you the chance to share your knowledge with students and help them understand where their food comes from. All it takes is an hour of your time in March to visit a classroom—either in-person or virtually—and make a lasting impact. We provide everything you need for a successful visit, including a volunteer t-shirt, an engaging activity, and full support along the way.
By volunteering with CALM, you give students a firsthand look at careers in agriculture and how food is grown sustainably right here in our province. Your story can spark curiosity and excitement, helping students see the connection between their everyday meals and the people who make it possible. Hundreds of volunteers across Saskatchewan are already sharing their experiences, and you can be part of this inspiring movement.
Each year, CALM introduces a new classroom resource to enrich your visit. In 2026, students will explore an interactive timeline showcasing how agriculture in Saskatchewan has evolved over time. By volunteering, you not only share your passion but also help students engage with the past, present, and future of food production.
Register by January 31st, 2026! In February, you will be connected with a local classroom in advance and receive everything you need to make your presentation in March a success. Your time, your story, and your passion can inspire young minds to get excited about agriculture—register today!
